Aviation Day at the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum – February 21, 2026

From Joe Radosky – On February 21st, members of the Space Coast Porsche Club gathered to celebrate the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum at Titusville, Florida, and host the prestigious US Army parachute team called the Golden Knights in a private airshow.  This was a very rare event. The 250 attendees had a front row view as the new Golden Knights black team and gold team showed the results of all their training these past few weeks before their first airshow in March.

The US Army Golden Knights arrived from Homestead Air Reserve Base in their Dash 8 airplane to reveal 42 members eager to jump out of a vintage warbird, which was the first for all members of this team.
The vintage warbird is a C–47, which is the military version of the big DC-3 airliner from the 1930s. This airplane was actually used in World War II.

Many distinguished guests attended the event, including an Air Force One flight crew member, Florida Fish & Wildlife flight crew, and the Department of State.

A Russian fighter called the MIG-17 and a Czech Republic trainer called the L–39 also joined the aircraft that day.

We hope this event raised awareness of the Warbird Museum, which has an incredible 55 vintage aircraft with over 100 volunteers.   More aircraft are due to arrive in the next few weeks, and the museum is always looking for more volunteers.

The museum is hosting its next big event on March 21 called Air Fest and this will allow you to enter into several of the warbird cockpits. Hope to see you there.
