From David Kelly – There was a good turnout for our mid-summer Vero Beach Kaffeeklatsch on Sunday, August 11, 2024, with thirty-four Space Coast Region members bringing their cars for display. There was a significant mix of Porsches ranging from vintage 356’s and a mid-eighties 911 Carrera, to Boxsters, Caymans, a Cayenne, and a Panamera GTS. There were several newer 911’s as well, including a GT3, a new GTS, a brand new Targa 4S, and a brand new Turbo S accompanied by a “race ready” Cayman GT4. There were two other 911 Turbos and a new two-week-old “Shark Blue” 718 Spyder. In other words, there was something for everyone and plenty to see!
Steve Tarr, SPC Region President, and Robert Kantor, SPC South Region Director were on hand to discuss upcoming events, answer questions, and encourage members to utilize the Club Registration function to secure their places when planning their attendance at the events. Past SPC Presidents, Robin and Steve Hoffman, were also there to add their thanks and congratulations, to those from Steve Tarr and Robert Kantor, to all of the members for winning “PCA Region of the Year Award” for 2023. A special celebration of this outstanding achievement will be held at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club on September 13, 2024. It is a great venue for the event and you can register on the Club Registration website to secure your place in the celebration.
