From David Kelly: Below is a link to photos of the action at the Rolex Daytona 24 Hour Race on Saturday. The crowd seemed to be larger than in previous years with more vendor and brand-specific automobile displays, along with several driving simulators and other entertainment.
The Porsche Corral was full with models of every vintage, many drivers of which had traveled long distances to share in the excitement of Porsche’s efforts to bring home a win in this prestigious race. Our local PCA Regions did a great job of setting-up and managing the Porsche Corral so that PCA members had a comfortable place to relax and watch the race, and for those who wanted it, a track-side view of the action.
There is something for everyone in the photos, from the Porsche Factory #911 RSR and #912 RSR race cars and the Porsche driving teams, to the vintage race cars participating in the historic race prior to the main event. You’ll see many details of the race cars in the garages and many dedicated Porsche fans in the crowds, along with lots of beautiful Porsches in the Porsche Corral.
Hopefully, you’ll find the photos interesting. It is best to view them in full screen mode to see as many details as possible.
