From Robin Hoffman – The load of presents our members brought for Toys for Tots absolutely overflowed the Christmas tree at our Holiday Party on Dec 14th. We were lucky that Colette Glencross and her husband Ray brought their truck. We stuffed the bed of the truck full, and it became the “sleigh” at the end of our Parade of Presents on Sunday morning.
We had a tremendous turnout for our North End Kaffeeklatsch – so many cute Porsche Christmas shirts! We had 22 Porsches, and 1 Santa sleigh make the trip from New Smyrna Beach to Titusville to drop off toys. In proper Porsche style, Milt Weisman found us some fun Florida backroads to make the drive interesting. We were given a tour of the North Brevard Toys for Tots headquarters and were told that 1400 families, including 4000 kids will be receiving gifts this year. One of our PCA members was volunteering at the site when we arrived and others on the drive are planning to go and help out during the toy distribution day on December 22nd. We have such a generous group of members!
We topped the Toy Drive off with a fantastic lunch at the iconic Dixie Crossroads where more laughter ensued and stories were told.
