From Steve Tarr – The April North Area Kaffeklatsch was one for the record books with 64 Porsches in attendance! Frank Molnar, who is working with Milt Weisman, organized this special Saturday Easter weekend gathering at One Daytona, a lifestyle and entertainment venue in Daytona Beach. This venue is second to none for hosting automobile events in the area.
Participants were able to park their Porsches around Victory Circle at One Daytona, and Amber at Gallery 500 opened up early for our group and had coffee and a continental breakfast for all. Gallery 500 partners with renowned artist Lyn Hiner who specializes in racing and sports car abstracts and has many pieces depicting Porsches. Our group enjoyed checking out the gallery as well.
Next up was a group drive through the Ormond Beach Loop, a scenic highway drive with some of the most gorgeous natural landscapes in the region. We ended our tour at Hendricks Motorsports, the premier race shop in Daytona Beach. Hendricks offers full in-house engine work and machining as well as coaching, event preparation and race car storage. Kimberlee Hendricks, who is the driving force behind the shop, spoke to our group about what they do and gave us a tour of the facility. Thank you again, Kimberlee!
We capped off the day with lunch at Stonewoods. Thank you again to everyone who participated in this special day and we extend our appreciation to Frank with Oceans Luxury Realty for sponsoring the beautiful One Daytona venue. Based on the response and the several attendees who became New Space Coast Members, we anticipate utilizing this venue again in the future.
