At last weekend’s 24 Hours of LeMans (famously won by Porsche for a record 17th time) a 911 RSR was displayed where the passenger half was constructed entirely of LEGO bricks.  An awful lot of LEGO bricks!  See the story here.

Porsche drivers must be a happy bunch (yes we are), and not just because of speed and style. In the first three months of ownership, the luxury brand’s cars have been ranked as the least problematic across the industry for three years running, according to J.D. Boston.com reports that it was 67 years ago yesterday that the first official Porsche car was assembled.  According to History.com, a “hand-built aluminum prototype labeled ‘No. 1’ [became] the first vehicle to bear the name of one of the world’s leading luxury car manufacturers: Porsche.”  Enjoy the memory here.
