From Robin Hoffman – This past weekend, members of the 356 Florida Owner’s Group (FOG) met for a very full 4-day weekend for the Gathering of the Faithful in Melbourne. The theme this year was Treasure – we toured Mel Fishers and the McClarty Treasure Museums and had pirate attire. We had a great turnout of 60+ cars and their humans from across the state.
We were so fortunate to have professional photographer, David Witty volunteer to join the group and document the weekend and share the photos with everyone – Thanks David!
The weekend was filled with drives, dinners, museum tours, our People’s Choice Concours, a swap meet, a tech quiz, and ended with the 356 Unlimited opening up their shop for an Open House.
Our Saturday morning the People’s Choice concours was held on the grounds of the fabulous American Car Museum. We had a corral for our 356 concours while enjoying over 500 classic cars in the AACA Celebration of Cars show outside and touring inside the museum as a special treat. Thanks to Mark Pieloch, owner of the AMCM, and the AACA for allowing us to tag along!
