From David Kelly – A dozen Porsches were on display at the 15th Annual “Wheels & Keels” Antique & Exotic Car & Boat Show at the Moorings Yacht & Country Club on Saturday, April 05, 2025, as three Space Coast Region members took home winning awards for their respective classes. They were, John Osteen with his beautiful blue 1964 356 SC Cabriolet, Andy Colgin with his silver track-ready 2016 GT3RS, and Robert Kantor with his Chalk 2024 992 Targa 4S. It was a great result, especially given the large class sizes and the mix of many other great cars in the show.
As always, it was a fun event for the entrants, spectators, and families who enjoyed seeing all the great cars spread across the Moorings golf course, along with the food and amenities on the Moorings Club House veranda. In addition to the Porsches on display, members of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Corvette Club of Indian River County brought their cars to compete with the other antique, exotic, rare, and unusual cars on the field. Class winners were presented their awards individually, as they drove their cars in a parade across the red carpet to applause from the spectators.
The event is organized and hosted each year to raise funds for local charities, especially those which serve the needs of local youths. The Wheels & Keels Foundation and the many sponsors and local businesses which support it are keys to its success. Since its inception it has contributed over $700,000 in grants to local charitable organizations.
