Space Coast Celebrates PCA Region of the Year at Summer Banquet

Seventy-five members of Space Coast Region joined to revel in their recent successes at their Summer Awards Banquet held July 31st, where the Ferry Porsche Trophy signifying PCA’s Region of the Year was delivered to the membership. PCA National Treasurer Ruben Ledesma was on hand to present the Trophy to Space Coast President Ralph Fritsche. Ruben said, “The accomplishments and excitement created within this growing region are well recognized within the PCA. The Ferry Porsche Trophy acknowledges the work that has been done by you all.” In accepting the Trophy, President Fritsche acknowledged the members, officers, advertisers, contributors, and sponsors, without whom this award would not have been possible. “I would especially like to thanks Shay and Monica Rowe of Porsche of Melbourne, who were key to creating the club/dealer relationship championed by both the PCA and PCNA,” added Ralph. “Our relationship is one truly befitting the Region of the Year.”

Tom Gorsuch’s TSD Rally trophy was displayed along side of the two Trivia Contest trophies won by Ron and Libby McCall at Parade. Zone 12 Representative Jennifer Barrows was also on hand to formally present the Sunchaser Trophy for Space Coast’s dominance in the nationally-recognized Sunrise to Sunset Rally. Members Harry & Dee Ann Allen, David & Ginny O’Neal, Steve & Robin Hoffman, Eckert & Joann Schneider, Ralph Fritsche & Marlena Johnson, Al & Missy Waschka, Allison & Chris Wilson and Shay & Monica Rowe finished 2nd through 9th, respectively. Tom & Elaine Gorsuch won the synchronization stage autocross while Collin Davey captured the “Worst Place” Trophy for his antics during this stage. Steve & Robin Hoffman, Collin & Vivienne Davey and Donna Kocak were also recognized for their concours wins and autocross accomplishments at this year’s Zonefest.
